New Features for Version 2.2
Oracle Universal Installer 2.2 offers the following new features:
You can now record your Oracle Universal Installer session to a response file.
This feature makes it easy to duplicate the results of a successful installation on multiple systems. All the options you selected during the installation are saved in the resulting response file. For information about recording your Universal Installer sessions and about using response files to automate your installations, see the Oracle Universal Installer Concepts Guide.
More accurate disk space calculations
Oracle Universal Installer now uses a more accurate method of calculating the disk space required by your Oracle products. This feature reduces the risk of running out of disk space during an installation.
A new dialog box that prompts you to start any additional configuration tools after exiting Universal Installer
Some Oracle products require additional configuration after you install the software. Some configuration tools run automatically when the installation is complete; others can now prompt you with a dialog box as soon as you click Exit so you can decide whether or not you want to run the configuration tool now or later.
